GORDON GLOBUS M.D. PSYCHIATRY       GENERAL INFORMATION    SETTING AND EXPERIENCE: I have maintained a half-time private practice of psychiatry in Newport Beach since 1992, after retiring from the University of California Irvine. The office includes two neurologists (Drs. O'Carroll and Ferrer), and a psychoanalyst (Dr. Bezzubova), so there is a wide range of expertise on site. I have over 40 years experience in psychiatry. SCOPE OF PRACTICE: I provide consultation and treatment for psychiatric disorders of all kinds. I specialize in diagnosis, medication management and psychotherapy. I do not hesitate to refer if I think that another mental health professional has more relevant expertise. I see many patients with anxiety and obsessional disorders, depression, bipolar disorder, psychosomatic problems, attention deficit, existential issues, and together with Dr. Philip O'Carroll, chronic pain problems. I do not accept children or patients with dementia. (Dr. Ferrer specializes in dementia.)
